I. General Description

ZCT2XXJ-XXX-17 is a low cost two-axis tilt sensor which is developed and produced by Shanghai ZC sensor. Its measuring range is ±60 degrees in maximum. It has zero setting function as well as optional Baud rate and so on.

VI. Data output format

The device adopt serial communication way to output data.Transmit format of each byte is: 1 bit of start bit, 8 bit of data bit, 1 bit of end bit. Output format has ASCII and Hex, it can be switched by corresponding command by user.

2. Hex Format

Output each group of data has five bytes, the first two byte is X axis angle data, the second two byte is Y axis angle data, the last byte is 0x0A. If the first byte of angle data is 1, represent X axis.If it is 0, represent Y axis. Secondary byte is sign bit.0 is positive,1 is minus. The others are data bytes.That is HEX format of angle value.As the following diagram

Eg. The current angle of X-axis is +23.6 degree: 0x 8000 +(23.6×10=0236, transform to hex format is 0x00EC,X axis output 0x80EC) . Y axis is -45.0 degree: 0x 4000 + 45.0×10=0450 transform to hex format is 0x01C2,so Y axis output 0x41C2), it will displayed as Then module output: 80 EC 41 C2 0A

3. User command

This device can set baud rate and output format (HEX/ ASCII) through serial communication. The corresponding command is as follows:( the following data is in ASCII format)

Note:

1. System will output version number after power on.
2. When power on, system will enter ” output angle value” status, output format is same as last time power off,(Continuous output is the defaulted output mode.)

2. Installation attention

Incorrect installment will lead to a big tolerance on the measured angle. Make sure the correct installation of ‘two planes’ and ‘two lines’,please pay attention to the following two points:

①: ‘two planes’ means mounting surface of the sensor should entirely be close to the mounting surface of the measured objects(the mounting surface of the measured objects should be horizontal as possible as it can). Angle is not allowed(eg: angle a in diagram A). Correct installation method refers to diagram B.

②:‘two lines’ means the axis line should parallel to the axis line of the measured objects. Angle is not allowed(eg: angle b in diagram C). Correct installation method refers to diagram D.
